  • ENROLLMENT INFORMATION IS FOR 2019-20 TRANSFER STUDENTS WHO ARE IN A PRESCHOOL DISABLED PROGRAM OR IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN TO 6 AND FOR NEW 2019-20 KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS

  • RESIDENCY MUST BE IN THE TOWNSHIP OF FRANKLIN OR THE BOROUGH OF NEWFIELD IN GLOUCESTER COUNTY

  • ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION APPOINTMENT  REQUIRED   COMPLETE AND SUBMIT THE ONLINE PRE-REGISTRATION (under School Forms). YOU WILL BE CALLED TO SET UP A REGISTRATION APPOINTMENT IN THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING LOCATED AT 3228 COLES MILL ROAD, FRANKLINVILLE, NJ 08322.  TRANFER STUDENTS WILL ALSO BE SET UP WITH A  PLACEMENT TESTING APPOINTMENT  WHICH WILL BE COORDINATED WITH THE REGISTRATION APPOINTMENT.

Documentation required for students transferring into our district:

  • Copy of Transfer Form from Previous School
    • If the student is transferring from a school in another state or country and they do not issue a transfer form the last report card and name and address of the school must be presented at registration.
  • Copy of Nurse's Health Card from Previous School or Immunization Records
  • Physical Report
    • If the student is transferring from a school in another state or country, or a private school in New Jersey, they will be required to present proof of recent physical or be requested to schedule one within 30 days of enrollment.
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residency
    • If you own your home: Most recent property tax notice from the Franklin Township or Borough of Newfield Property Tax Office AND a current utility bill. If you have recently purchased a home and have yet not received a property tax notice, a copy of your settlement statement AND certificate of occupancy is required.
    • If you rent your home: Current lease AND a current utility bill
    • If you and your child are residing with another family in their home: Homeowner’s most recent property tax notice or current lease AND they must complete a Statement of Residency Verification for Student Enrollment form, which can be found under Documents on the last page of the online pre-registration page or picked up at the Administration Building. You will also be requested to provide us with a recent bill or piece of mail in your name at this address.
  • Court Documents - Required if there are court documents for custody or parenting time or if you are the guardian of the student being registered.
  • Please Note - If the student is transferring from a private school or an out-of-state school they will also be required to present proof of a physical.  If the previous school does not issue a transfer from, we are requesting a copy of the last report card and the name and address of the school.

Documentation required for new Kindergarten students:

  • Immunization Records
  • Physical Report
  • Birth Certificate

School Forms:

  • Online Pre-Registration Form – Required:  CLICK HERE to go to this form. Click on Pre-Register a Student and complete this form.  Click on Submit.
  • The following registration forms are listed on the last page of the pre-registration site under Documents. They can be printed out, completed and brought to the registration appointment. If you cannot print out these forms, you can pick them up in the Administration Building/Board Office prior to registration or they will be given to you at registration.

  • Medical Examination Notice – Required for students transferring from a private school or an out-of-state school and new Kindergarten students
  • Physical Examination Report – Required for students transferring from a private school or an out-of-state school and new Kindergarten students
  • Statement of Residency Verification For Student Enrollment  – Required ONLY if you and your child live with another family. The homeowner with whom you reside will need to complete this form and have their signature notarized. Please see above under Proof of Residency for other documentation you and the homeowner will need to give to us.

Other Important Information:

  • Transportation – Busing is provided for all students. If you will be using a babysitter or a daycare center in Franklin Township or Newfield, or Just Kids, the district's before and after school program, you must fill out a Caregiver Application. Click here to get that form.  Click here to get information regarding daycare centers in Franklin Township and Just Kids. If you are not able to print out the Caregiver Application, it will be given to you at registration. (Please Note: Pick up and drop off locations must be the same for your child Monday through Friday)
  • Kindergarten Entrance Age - Students must turn 5 years old on or before October 1 of the school year for which they are being registered.
  • Kindergarten Screening – You will be asked to make an appointment for this screening, which is completed by our teachers to assess the readiness skills of your child. The screening takes place at the Mary F. Janvier School during the month of July.
  • Kindergarten Orientation – You will be asked to bring your child to the Mary F. Janvier School to meet his/her teacher. You will also meet with the Principal and School Nurse while your child meets with the Transportation Dept. (they will enjoy a short ride on the bus from our parking lot). This program will take place in August.
